We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Vancouver based team.
The successful candidate will be able to provide solutions and business centric opportunities to both internal objectives and clients. The incumbent will be working closely between the Sales and the Project teams acting as a conduit between the two departments while assisting to guide and educate the team of all new business and technical offerings that may be taken advantage of. The project manager will assist the Sales department to develop proposals and define project goals and assist in requirements gathering and documenting.
Reporting to the Business Requirements Manager, the job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Investigate client’s business requirements, issues and data challenges and act as a facilitator between the Sales, design and development teams
- Documenting and maintaining detailed business processes and client requirements
- Preparing requirements and developing functional specification documents
- Interface with the clients and assess their business needs in order to develop a detailed understanding of clients’ requirements.
- Communication issues, changes, enhancements and modifications
- Project scheduling
- Assist in creating test plans and test cases
Education & Area of Study:
- 2 year diploma in Computer Science or Business Management with IT knowledge, or Bachelors Degree (3-4 year) in Computer Science or Information Systems
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst within a technical environment
- Must have experience in development or software lifecycle, programming knowledge with a strong technical background
Skills required:
- Excellent team interactions, interpersonal skills, and highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and handle (sometimes) stressful work environment in a professional manner
- Ability to take responsibility and complete work with minimal supervision
- Must be resourceful and able to troubleshoot on your own
This is a full time, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday position and will require flexibility to work on call, unusual hours or extended shifts when necessary.
